Wunderladen Racing Aluminum Coolant Expansion Tank – Compatible with 2016–2021 Honda Civic, 2023+ Civic Type R, and 2024+ Acura Integra Type S

When we started seeing the factory coolant expansion tank begin to fail from heat cycling we knew we had to create a solution. The Wunderladen Racing coolant expansion tank for the 10th generation Honda Civic and 11th generation Type R is the be all end all coolant tank. We did not want to compromise anywhere when we started designing this, and we feel we’ve delivered on that! 

Our tank is an all aluminum construction, welded together to create a leakproof tank. It has a triple baffle system welded to the inside of it to ensure that it is easily able to bleed any air from the cooling system and keep it from reentering the engine once separated.

We weren’t fond of any existing options for a sightglass, since the external tube units are prone to leaking and the small round window units don’t tell you the coolant level, just if it’s up to that point or not. So we ended up machining our own billet sightglass that gives a full picture of the coolant level across the entire height of the tank! It is also entirely serviceable, so IF it does ever begin to leak, or the window becomes tarnished by coolant, the sealing o-ring can easily be replaced and the window can be re-polished or replaced very easily!

Speaking of o-rings, our coolant tank utilizes large -10ORB barb fittings to make it plug and play for your 10th Gen Civic whether it be a 1.5T, 2.0L or Type R! With fittings this large there is no restriction in the hose barbs compared to the factory tank and the o-rings that seal these fittings are the most robust way to seal a fitting connection for many years of leakproof use!
