MDR Industries Silicone Radiator Hose Kit – Honda Civic Type R FK8 (2017 and Newer)

Description

This hose kit is designed as a direct replacement to the factory EPDM rubber hose.

EPDM is often mixed with other materials to make them pliable and less brittle, which often makes the material weaker overall.  While EPDM has a relatively low melting point, it can start to break down at high temperatures, causing the hose to crack or rupture.

The silicone material has higher resistance to high temperature and pressure.   Unlike EPDM, the silicone material stays stable and keeps its physical properties, even when temperatures reach or exceed 350 deg. F.   Overall, silicone material is the superior elastomer to EPDM.

These silicone hoses are designed with 4 ply reinforced high temperature material, which exceeds SAEJ20 standard.
